Direct support for children/young people

We provide direct support and problem-solving solutions to issues that have arisen in relation to the provision for, and placement of, individual pupils.

  • We will liaise between school, parents and other parties in relation to any disputes or complaints.
  • We can provide a mediation role to seek dispute resolution.
  • We will attend pre-meetings to discuss and provide advice on areas of concern and help clarify and focus on relevant issues.
  • We will provide information materials for present and future pupils and parents.
  • We will offer interventions designed to assist parents, children and young people to address any barriers to accessing the learning environment.
  • We can support parents to act as partners and co-educators in their children’s learning.
  • We will provide advice and assistance with any work around Exclusions and Suspensions for pupils with SEND.
  • We will facilitate engagement and close co-operation with other professionals from education, health, social care, and officers from the Local Authority, where this will assist in positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
