The Birmingham Education Advisory Service (BEAS) is an independent support service which provides high quality support to schools and education providers with all aspects of the SEND statutory framework.

We provide schools with the crucial advice and guidance they need to fulfil their statutory duties and establish exemplary standards in the management and support of SEND students.

Our service is available to special and mainstream schools. The support is tailored to meeting the individual needs of the setting.

We offer expert training and advice that facilitates a clear understanding of the SEND legal responsibilities relating to Education, Health and Social Care (Children’s Services and Adult Social Care).

A BEAS Members’ SEND Chat Forum has been developed to enable connectivity between frontline teaching practitioners and education leaders to discuss presenting issues and seek resolutions.

All associates of BEAS are legally trained in SEND and have a wealth of experience in teaching, social work, psychology or law.
